Remember a while back I wrote about what I’d recommend looking for in a secondary school? I closed that post with a reference to a job search that was web 2.0-enabled. This video is another example of someone using web 2.0 tools to help the world understand where he’s coming from.
Think about the sense you would likely have had of this designer if you’d seen his one-page resume. Or even his portfolio. Compare that with the sense you have of him after watching a three-minute video.
Interesting, isn’t it? How are the available tools changing the matchmaking that goes into hiring decisions? Will colleges, also in the business of matchmaking, be taking advantage of some of these opportunities?
