Hi there! I’m Shelley Krause, and I believe in the power of stories and human inter-connection.
I have worked in learning communities for most of my adult life, and in fact am one of those folks who, you might say, never really wanted to leave school. Learning is where it’s at.
I am a search ninja, a natural-born curator, a Twitter aficionado, and happiest when in the midst of an interesting conversation. I founded and still facilitate the College Lists Wiki, a collaborative effort at surfacing US colleges that fulfill more unusual search criteria. (In college counseling, you never know when you might work with a young person who is in search of a college that has an observatory.)
I love helping others uncover and articulate their stories, so that they are then in a better position to seek out their tribe(s). I am thrilled to have recently taken on the challenge of trying to “catch” one of my current learning communities at its best.
I believe that a great network beats a good hierarchy every time; I am all about empowering purposeful networks. That, and dark chocolate.
